Patrick Wilker (pictured) of Circle Pines, MN, Curt Peterson of White Bear Lake, MN and Tim Lohmann of Minneapolis, MN caught these sturgeon in mid-September on the St. Croix River south of Stillwater in 35 feet of water with cut shad and crawlers.
From Our Readers – "During sturgeon season I decided to try my luck at catching my first season. I ended up not only catching my first sturgeon ever, but also ended up catching and releasing 8 more nice sturgies. My friend Tim also caught his first sturgeon also. After experiencing sturgeon fishing first hand I then took out my co-worker Curt and he ended up catching his first sturgeon also."
