We currently hold 4 state records out of the port of Algoma. We catch big salmon, steelhead and brown trout, no other port can claim the size fish Algoma catches on a regular basis

RV Charters is based out of Sunrise Cove Marina with spacious parking, and everything located within walking distance.

Our packages include lakeside lodging at Algoma's best hotel with suites or the DMJ Place duplex if these are not available there are also several beachfront motels in our area, license and stamp privileges, fresh pastries, hot coffee and cold soda. We can do lunch on board by request and we can customize others.

All include an honest effort by an experienced captain and mate and proper care of your catch, including ice for your trip home. All reservations are handled with one phone call.

Sandpiper Sport Fishing, LLC is a full-time charter service, operating 7 days a week throughout the season. Captain Tom Morrell, owner and operator of Sandpiper, has grown up fishing Lake Michigan since age 8. At 19 he got his Captain’s license and started his own operation.

Sandpiper now runs two boats. Stormtrooper is a 32’ Trojan Sportfisherman, and Tommy Boy is a 36’ Chris Craft Commander. With the second boat comes the ability to accommodate larger groups. Both boats provide plenty of room for fighting and netting fish. Features include fully enclosed fly-bridges, inside seating with comfortable couches and chairs, and full bathroom amenities. Our state-of-the-art electronics include GPS, radar, color fish locaters, AM/Fm radio, machine band radio, and on the Tommy Boy, TV/VCR. We provide top of the line rods and reels and all tackle and equipment needed for a successful fishing trip. We are happy to filet your catch for you. Both boats are located in Algoma, Wisconsin, the trout and salmon capital of the Great Lakes.

Our season runs from mid-May through September, producing good catches of both salmon and trout. Occasional weather fronts being a factor, there are no worries in our large, well-equipped boats. Our experienced Captain and crew are here to show you a fun, safe, and successful trip to the best of our abilities.
