My name is Matt Jensen from Ogema, Minnesota. My wife and I are foster parents of two wonderful little boys Dean and Curtis. On February 8th the youngest boy Curtis (above), who is 3 years old, and I were ice fishing on Big Elbow Lake in northern Becker County. He asked if he could fish with my jigging rod. We had been catching 3-5 pound northern pike in the area so I set the rod and reel up with heavier line and tackle. About 15 minutes after he started to fish with the rod he hooked this 34-inch northern pike. I set the drag and he eventually got it up to the bottom of the hole were I was able to grab the fish. He is the only person I know that can honestly say, "I caught a fish this big" and hold out his arms as wide as he can. It was one of the best times out fishing and I am sure it won't be the last.
