Andy Luing and his brother-in-law were trolling for Lake Minnetonka walleye at 8:30 a.m. on opener. He had 100 feet of line out on his 12 foot walleye rod when the rod doubled over, he thought he had hit a weed bed! The fish peeled off another 120 feet of line before he was able to turn it and slowly work it to the boat. They landed it, took some photos and safely released it back to fight another day. The fish was 50 inches and weighed exactly 25 pounds.
