Photo and fish Tuesday, May 19, 2009, on Wausau/Central Wisconsin waters.

Here’s what Phil Schweik of Hooksetters Guide Service had to say about it:

“This ought to get your blood going!!!
The guy was fishing with me on a guide trip using a one-sixteenth ounce jig,
fishing for crappies and walleyes when this big slob hit.

We managed to pull it out of the wood and you know what I mean
when I say we pulled it out of the wood and got it to open water where we could battle it.

At almost 150 yards downstream and 15 minutes later we landed the beast.
It was 45 inches long and weighed about 25 pounds.
It was caught on 6 pound line on ultra-light tackle; pretty good, don't you think?

I have 13 muskies like this already this year all on light line and small jigs.
Go figure?”
